What's My Feedback?

My Feedback

Each time you post/respond to an ad for a gig, service or job; you will have an opportunity to leave Feedback (rate & comment) about your experience. We believe that Feedback is an essential part of what makes GigBid a strong trustworthy community

Feedback consists of a positive, negative, or neutral rating, along with the ability to leave a short comment. GigBid Users build reputations that are based on all the Feedback ratings and comments left by trading GigBid users.

This information is available in each member's My Feedback; and helps prospective trading GigBid users post and respond with confidence.

What you can do with feedback
  • Leave Feedback to any accepted offer
  • Review your own feedback using your account page>feedback button
  • Report inappropriate feedback
  • All feedback will remain active, negative feedback may be removed after six months

GigBid Users are not allowed to use threats of poor Feedback or a low rating score to get something that wasn't part of the original ad posting. GigBid Users aren't allowed to demand positive Feedback.

GigBid Users are not allowed to exchange Feedback for the sole purpose of increasing Feedback scores/ratings, gaining privileges, or enhancing reputation. GigBid Users are not allowed to attempt to damage a seller's Feedback through a series of repeat purchases, or to leave negative comments with a positive feedback rating.

Ratings and comments are generally a PERMANENT part of a GigBid Member's My Feedback. However, there are a few situations when we might remove or adjust Feedback related to an expired post that has been removed; or Feedback comments that include, i.e. hyperlinks, profanity, misleading or any other inappropriate content.

Spotting and Avoiding Scams

Avoiding Scams GigBid has made our system specifically to prevent scammers and spamming. By withholding your contact information until you have come to an agreement, allowing you to choose who you would like to communicate with, giving you control. Scammers however, will always exploit systems for their benefit, so follow the rules below to help prevent scamming.

  • Meet locally, face-to-face —follow this one rule and avoid 99% of scam attempts.
  • Do not extend payment to anyone you have not met in person.
  • Never wire funds (e.g. Western Union) before your requests are met; anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.
  • Don't accept cashier/certified checks or money orders - banks have been known to cash fake checks, and than hold you responsible.
  • Transactions are between users only; no third party provides a "guarantee".
  • Never, ever give out financial information (bank account, social security, Paypal account, etc.).
  • Beware of gigs and services that may be under a guise—that amazing "opportunity" may not exist at all.
  • Refuse background/credit checks until you have met the respective entities that wish to require your skill set.
